Plein Air

I painted these mostly on location around Alberta, including in Calgary and as far east as the Drumheller area, although nearly all of them have received at least a few finishing touches in the studio.  There have been a couple of times when I’ve had to cut a plein-air painting session short due to inclement weather.  When this has happened, if the painting was more than about 50% finished in the field, I’ll usually finish it in the studio, and it’ll still be posted here.

On-location easel shots will often be featured in the blog!

Like the paintings on the Studio page, these are in reverse chronological order.
