Plein Air

These are small paintings from on-site painting sessions around Alberta, including in Calgary and as far east as the Drumheller area, although most of them receive at least a few finishing touches in the studio later. You’ll notice a lot of clouds in some of them, because my schedule sometimes means I do this when the weather is less than ideal. Occasionally I’ve had to pack up in a hurry when a painting is only half finished, and complete it later. Those are still included here.

On-location easel shots will often be featured in the blog!

For work I’ve done at home, see the Studio page.
